CHEMICAL PEEL
Chemoexfoliation is a straightforward and time-honored way to remove facial wrinkling, alleviate pigment irregularities, and restore a healthy complexion. It is also a wonderful way to eliminate unsightly acne scarring. The upper layers of skin are safely removed with a variety of facial exfoliants in the operating room. New skin growth is complete after one week, but the final result is achieved about 6 weeks later, when new collagen has formed, adding additional firming and toning of the face. Some peels are very superficial and can be applied by our medical aesthetician, while deeper and more effective peels are performed in the procedure room by the physician. Other methods of skin resurfacing include CO2 laser therapy and dermabrasion.
