What is Juvéderm®?

Juvéderm® can improve your signs of aging by filling in deep folds and creases which is why it’s among the most popular and well-reviewed injectable dermal fillers available. Made from hyaluronic acid, which decreases as you age but is nevertheless a naturally occurring substance found in your body, Juvéderm® creates a more attractive and youthful-looking you. Juvéderm® does this by restoring the skin volume you had when you were younger. Juvéderm® can treat various problem regions and is requested more often than almost any other injectable procedure since its results last as long as one year.

Benefits of Juvéderm®

You can think of hyaluronic acid as your body’s moisturizer since it binds and absorbs water, creating volume in your face. Juvéderm® replaces hyaluronic acid in your skin, reduces wrinkles and creates more vibrant healthy-looking skin.

Benefits of using Juvéderm® include:

  •         Improving skin contour
  •         Increasing cheek volume
  •         Lasts for up to one year
  •         Restores a youthful appearance to your face
  •         Smooths out wrinkles and fine lines

Who is a Good Candidate for Juvéderm®?

If you want a solution to make you look younger, improve sagging or flattened cheeks, smile lines and wrinkles, Juvéderm® might be the right fit for you. Dermal fillers like Juvéderm® can help patients achieve a younger appearance without the need for surgery and downtime. The formula can effectively fill in facial lines and folds for immediate smoothness. Juvéderm® is effective at treating static wrinkles that are present even when the face is relaxed, as well as providing volume to the face that may have been lost with age.

How is Juvéderm® Treatment Performed?

Most patients choose to receive Juvederm® without a local anesthetic, but some opt for a topical numbing agent prior to the procedure to relieve any potential discomfort. Dr. Papel, Dr. Kontis, and Dr. Brown then use fine needles to inject Juvéderm® into the facial folds and wrinkles that are more noticeable. Hyaluronic acid is the main ingredient in the injections. The substance is found naturally in the body and hydrates the skin when it is injected. This leaves the skin looking younger and feeling smoother in addition to improving its elasticity. The injection process can take about 10-20 minutes to complete.

Results of Juvéderm®

There is no required downtime after receivingJuvéderm®, however, it is suggested you avoid include drinking alcohol within 24 hours after the procedure to reduce the risk of bruising. Some mild swelling and redness can be expected during the first few hours after treatment.

The results of Juvéderm® can be experienced immediately for smoother, younger-looking skin. The results of Juvéderm® are temporary but can last for up to a year or longer before a touch-up session is needed.
