Dr. Papel, Dr. Kontis, and Dr. Brown provide Juvederm® injections for patients in Baltimore, Washington D.C., Annapolis, and the surrounding areas of Maryland.
What Is Juvederm®?
Juvederm® can improve your signs of aging by filling in deep folds and creases which is why it’s among the most popular and well-reviewed injectable dermal fillers available. Made from hyaluronic acid, which decreases as you age, but is nevertheless a naturally occurring substance found in your body, Juvederm® creates a more attractive and youthful-looking you. Juvederm® does this by restoring the skin volume you had when you were younger. Juvederm® can treat various problem regions and is requested more often than almost any other injectable procedure since its results last as long as one year.
Benefits of Juvederm®
You can think of hyaluronic acid as your body’s moisturizer since it binds and absorbs water, creating volume in your face. Juvederm® replaces hyaluronic acid in your skin, reduces wrinkles and creates more vibrant healthy-looking skin. Your results from Juvederm® may last up to a year and can be visible immediately after your treatment. Schedule your appointment at our Baltimore office right now if you want to make your fine lines and wrinkles go away. Among the benefits of using Juvederm®:
- Improving skin contour
- Increasing cheek volume
- Lasts for up to one year
- Restores a youthful appearance to your face
- Smooths out wrinkles and fine lines
How Is Juvederm® Administered?
Most patients choose to receive Juvederm® without a local anesthetic, but some opt for a numbing agent prior to the procedure to relieve any potential discomfort. Dr. Papel, Dr. Kontis, and Dr. Brown use fine needles for the facial folds and wrinkles that are more noticeable. Hyaluronic acid is the main ingredient in the injections. The substance is found naturally in the body and hydrates the skin when it is injected. This leaves the skin looking younger and feeling smoother in addition to improving its elasticity.
Preparing for a Juvederm® Treatment
Being well informed about your procedure is an important part of the preparation process. You need to let Dr. Papel, Dr. Kontis, and Dr. Brown know about any medications you are on because they might tell you to stop taking them prior to receiving treatment. Certain medications could cause adverse side effects or work against the treatment when you take them simultaneously. *For example, avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications for at least one week prior to the procedure because this will help reduce the risk of bleeding and bruising at the injection site.
You need to avoid participating in strenuous activities for 24 hours following your Juvederm® treatment. Also, avoid touching the site of injection on your face. *Other activities that you need to avoid include drinking alcohol within 24 hours after the procedure and limiting exposure to sunlight, heat and cold temperatures for the following two weeks.
What Is The Cost of a Juvederm® Treatment?
